In the grand tradition of retelling familiar stories from the antagonist’s point of view, Lady Tremaine reimagines Cinderella through the eyes of her evil stepmother.

But it’s more complicated than we’ve been led to believe. We all have to earn our keep somehow! I found myself almost immediately rooting for Lady T and wishing Cinderella would, for the love of god, shut the fuck up and DO SOMETHING.

It’s got a little 9 to 5 to it: navigating power with limited options, doing what you have to do, and taking care of your girls no matter what.
